HC Deb 19 March 1942 vol 378 c1684W
Sir Smedley Crooke

asked the Minister of Information the number of women employed, in any capacity, by the British Broadcasting Corporation between the ages of 20 and 30 years?

Mr. Bracken

The number is 1,750. Discussions are being held with the Ministry of Labour in order to decide how many of these women can be called up without prejudice to the work of national importance on which the B.B.C. is engaged.
