HC Deb 19 March 1942 vol 378 c1678W
Mr. A. Edwards

asked the Minister of Supply whether he is aware that radio telephone equipment in tanks, aircraft, infantry units and ships, is imperfectly co-ordinated, and that the sets provided do not enable satisfactory communication to be maintained; and which department of his Ministry is responsible for this equipment?

Mr. Assheton

This is not a matter which is the sole concern of my right hon. Friend, but inquiries are being made and I will communicate with my hon. Friend. The department of the Ministry responsible for the design and development of radio equipment for the Army is that of the Controller-General of Research and Development.
