HC Deb 17 March 1942 vol 378 c1344W
Colonel Carver

asked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the shortage of paper and the labour necessary after the throwing of confetti at marriage ceremonies, he will prohibit this custom?

Sir A. Duncan

I have been asked to reply. The production of confetti has been prohibited since May, 1940, but I will consider the hon. Member's suggestion in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department.
