HC Deb 17 March 1942 vol 378 c1351W
Mr. Naylor

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the waste of electricity taking place in the lighting arrangements adopted by automatic machine saloons, which are usually kept illuminated during daylight hours; and if he will take steps to put a strict limit on the number of lamps to be used?

Mr. Dalton

I am considering the question of restricting lighting arrangements in commercial establishments generally, and I am much obliged to my hon. Friend for his suggestion.
