HC Deb 11 March 1942 vol 378 cc1077-8W
Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Information, what broadcasts other than the Brains Trust are allowed to be broadcast uncensored?

Mr. Bracken

The Brains Trust broadcast is recorded in advance and censored for security purposes before being put on the air. There are occasional programmes of a special nature, such as running commentaries on public events, which are broadcast without preliminary censorship; but this is only done when there can be no danger to security.
