HC Deb 10 March 1942 vol 378 cc936-7W
Major Owen

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that there is a large number of children suffering from under-nourishment and other ailments in hospitals, hostels and institutions; and whether he is prepared to make or authorise an issue of fruit juices to such children up to the age of 14 years, as is made in the case of younger children?

Major Lloyd George

The present fruit juice distribution scheme will shortly be reviewed when the claims of different categories of children who are at present outside the scheme will be considered so far as the supply position permits of any extension.
