HC Deb 05 March 1942 vol 378 c812W
Mr. Goldie

asked the Home Secretary whether, with a view to the imposition of adequate sentences of imprisonment upon persons convicted of the offence commonly known as black marketing, he will take steps to ensure that in all suitable cases proceedings shall be on indictment rather than by summary procedure?

Mr. H. Morrison

I hope to be in a position to make a further statement on the whole question shortly.
