HC Deb 24 June 1942 vol 380 cc1989-90W
Mr. Wilmot

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will give facilities to the overseers in the London postal service who may have the necessary qualifications for more urgent work, to be seconded or transferred to other Government Departments where their qualifications would be of special value?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

Yes, Sir. I am ready to give facilities where overseers have qualifications which would be of special value to other Government Departments. Some London overseers are already on loan elsewhere.
