HC Deb 24 June 1942 vol 380 cc1991-2W
Mr. Liddall

asked the Minister of Air-craft Production what steps he has taken to secure all economies in the use of fuel and light in factories and workshops under his direction; and whether he will consider the appointment of qualified officers to prevent any further waste?

Colonel Llewellin

AU factories under the direction of my Department were instructed some months ago to appoint fuel efficiency officers, if they had not already done so. In regard to light, we have effected considerable economies by the introduction of windows and roof lights in place of the absolute blackout.
