HC Deb 11 June 1942 vol 380 cc1256-7W
Mr. David Adams

asked the Minister of Supply to what extent Sunday work in Royal Ordnance factories has now been eliminated as recommended by the Select Committee on National Expenditure?

Mr. Assheton

The position is substantially as stated in the reply given to the hon. Member for South Croydon (Sir H. Williams) on 17th December last. The position is, however, under constant review and special efforts are now being made to reduce the hours of work in cases where it is considered they are still too long and to adjust all working hours to ensure that there is a satisfactory week-end break.
