HC Deb 11 June 1942 vol 380 c1258W
Captain York

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will take steps to minimise the damage which is being done by Government contractors laying pipelines and doing other work across agricultural land, in that they break field drainage lines and replace the pipes in such a way that the water cannot continue to flow down the pipes?

Mr. Hudson

Very few instances of damage of the kind which my hon. Friend describes have come to my notice, but if he will send me particulars of cases known to him I will look into them.
