HC Deb 10 June 1942 vol 380 c1076W
Sir F. Fremantle

asked the Minister of Labour what arrangements are made for the service of ophthalmic surgeons to be available to factory workers throughout the country; and to what extent he relies on the service of sight-testing opticians?

Mr. McCorquodale

There are no special arrangements of a comprehensive kind for the services of ophthalmic surgeons to be available for factory workers as such, but I understand that in a few cases factory managements have made arrangements to assist their workers in obtaining advice from such surgeons or from sight-testing opticians.
