HC Deb 30 July 1942 vol 382 c716W
Mr. De la Bère

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what are the day-to-day duties of the chief Government Press liaison officer; and how are they related to those of the Ministry of Information?

Sir K. Wood

The day-to-day duties of the Chief Press Liaison Officer in the main arise from contacts with the Press connected with the work of the Prime Minister's Office and of the Treasury. He works in co-operation with the Ministry of Information in the same way as other Departmental Press and Public Relations Officers.
