asked the Minister of Health the number of houses built by local authorities in the county of Durham since 1930 and the number built by private firms during the same period?

From 1st April, 1933, to 30th September, 1941, the number of houses completed by or on behalf of local authorities and by private enterprise in the county of Durham was 34,509 and 32,669 respectively. I regret that I cannot, without detailed inquiry, give the information for the earlier years.
