§ Captain MargessonSeveral brigades from Nigeria, the Gold Coast and the East African dependencies did excellent service throughout the Abyssinian campaign. Their achievements and those of the Sudan Defence Force are reported in a booklet on the campaign in East Africa which will soon be published. A number of colonial soldiers of non-European origin have been decorated for gallantry in the field.
