§ Mr. ButlerPensions under the Teachers' Superannuation Acts are for the maintenance of teachers whose salaries have ceased owing to the cessation of their pensionable service. I regret that it would be inconsistent with the principles of the Acts to repeal or amend the provision in question so as to permit the payment of736W pension during a period, in which the teacher was in receipt of salary for such service.
