HC Deb 21 January 1942 vol 377 c360W
Mr. Lipson

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that Jews who enlist in Palestine receive family allowances only about half of what they are in England, although the standard of life of Palestine Jews, and the cost of living are about the same as in this country; that there is no provision for allowances to dependent parents, and no pensions for men discharged as physically unfit; and will he take steps to remedy these deficiencies, and bring conditions of service up to the standard applicable in this country?

Sir E. Grigg

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Shipley (Mr. Creech Jones) yesterday.
