§ Sir A. SinclairI cannot agree with my hon. Friend that the facts are as stated. While the A.T.C. scheme is based on voluntary effort, the cash grants from public funds and issues in kind from R.A.F. socks are intended to cover all essential expenditure on training, only the provision of amenities being defrayed from non-public funds. The question of extending the scope of the Exchequer assistance to include travelling expenses to local headquarters is now being examined in the course of the financial review of which my hon. Friend is aware.
