§ Mr. Parkerasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply why a scrap rubber expert identified with every branch of the industry in which scrap rubber is used, and whose technical advice is utilised by Government Departments, has not been invited to be a member of the new Rubber Control Board, in view of the fact that this person, from June, 1940, and continually thereafter, has been 60W impressing upon Government Departments the necessity of safeguarding against the present position by the installation of further reclaiming plant; and whether he will take steps to see that this expert's advice and attention is now sought?
§ Mr. Harold MacmillanI shall be glad to consider any concrete suggestions which persons having knowledge of the industry may be able to put forward. I do not know to whom my hon. Friend refers.
