HC Deb 24 February 1942 vol 378 cc32-3W
Mr. W. H. Green

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the acute shortage of plain crockery; and whether he contemplates further action which would lead to a decrease in output of expensive crockery and a corresponding increase in the manufacture of plain crockery?

Mr. Dalton

Yes, Sir. Steps have already been taken to limit the production of decorated pottery and further measures are in contemplation which I hope will lead to an increase in the quantity of plain crockery available for supply in the home market.
