§ Sir L. Lyleasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, in view of the dissatisfaction felt both by hotel and boarding-house keepers and by civil service billetees, he proposes to consider some improved revision of the amounts now sanctioned?
§ Captain CrookshankProposals to increase the allowance payable to the billetors of civil servants have recently been given careful consideration, but I do not agree that any revision is called for. The £1 1s 0d. paid to billetors covers the provision of accommodation and two meals a day, and this sum is in scale with the rates payable to the billetors of members of the Armed Forces who are required to provide accommodation and all meals.
