Mr. JohnstonThe acreages under tillage in Islay and in the remainder of Argyllshire as at 4th June, 1939, were 4,246 acres and 16,535 acres respectively. The corresponding figures as at 4th June, 1941, were 4,976 and 21,577 acres.
