HL Deb 18 February 1942 vol 121 c932WA
THE DUKE OF MONTROSE

asked His Majesty's Government how many of the higher honours, or decorations, carrying knighthoods or baronetcies, have been conferred, since the war began on officers serving at sea in the Merchant Navy; and to which Order do such honours belong.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT SIMON)

No honours of this nature have been so conferred. The second part of the question, therefore, does not arise.

House adjourned.
