HC Deb 17 February 1942 vol 377 c1659W
Mr. Groves

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that medical practitioners are put to inconvenience as the result of maids and receptionists being called up; and whether he will consider a degree of exemption which will render a doctor's work less difficult?

Mr. Bevin

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given on 27th January, to the hon. Member for Denbigh (Sir H. Morris-Jones) in which it was stated that instructions had already been issued for special consideration to be given in the case of doctors' households.
