HC Deb 10 February 1942 vol 377 c1421W
Mr. De la Bère

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, arising out of the interpretation of the White Paper on the Lease-Lend Agreement in connection with the supply of stationery and educational goods to the Colonies in the West Indies, mainly Jamaica, he will confer with the licensing control so as to modify the interpretation to permit of the exporting from this country of such goods as pen-nibs and date-stampers, in view of the old-established trade that has been carried on in the supply of these and other articles for the past 50 years?

Colonel Llewellin

Yes, Sir. I am looking into this matter.
