HC Deb 04 February 1942 vol 377 cc1189-90W
Mr. Pearson

asked the Secretary for Mines what steps he proposes to take upon the report of the inquiry by His Majesty's Inspector of Mines, into the circumstances of the colliery explosion at Llantrisant, Glamorganshire?

Mr. Grenfell

This explosion occurred in the shaft and fan drift under circumstances that are unparalleled and unlikely to recur. I have thought it desirable to make the facts known to the industry by publishing the inspector's report in full, and I do not think there is any further action that I can usefully take in this particular case.
