HC Deb 17 December 1942 vol 385 cc2095-6W
Mr. E. Walkden

asked the Home Secretary whether he will take steps to ensure that, after the war, the seats provided in shops for shop assistants shall, in fact, be available for all assistants and that managements shall no longer be able to penalise assistants who use these seats?

Mr. H. Morrison

No representations on this matter have of recent years been made to my Department, but when an opportunity arises for any general review of the provision of the Shops Acts, this question might properly be included in such review.
