HC Deb 16 December 1942 vol 385 cc1955-6W
Sir R. Wells

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food when he proposes to lay on the Table the Order for instituting the company known as the Soft Drinks Industry (War Time) Association, Limited, to take over the whole of the soft drinks trade in this country?

Mr. Mabane

The Soft Drinks Industry (War Time) Association was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1929, on 7th August of this year and no Order is necessary in connection with its incorporation. The objects for which the company was formed are set out in the memorandum and articles of association of which copies can be obtained from the registrar of companies in the usual way. I could not accept the expression used by my hon. Friend as an accurate description of the purposes for which the company was established.
