HC Deb 15 December 1942 vol 385 c1800W
Mr. Hannah

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the new mosque to be built in London, on a site given by the Government, will be erected by the whole Moslem world or by any particular country?

Colonel Stanley

The arrangements for the building of the mosque will be a matter for the London Mosque Committee, the membership of which includes eminent Moslems from a number of countries. I understand from the committee that they propose in due course to appeal to all Moslems throughout the world to co-operate in the carrying out of this scheme.
