HC Deb 09 December 1942 vol 385 cc1583-4W
Mr. Rhys Davies

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the increase, in the number of married women now in insurable employment, he will issue to panel doctors and approved societies clear guidance as to title to sickness benefit in respect of those who are temporarily or partially employed?

Mr. E. Brown

I am not aware that either insurance practitioners or approved societies are experiencing any special difficulty in carrying out their respective duties in connection with claims for sickness benefit made by the women to whom my hon. Friend refers, nor do I feel that they need any additional guidance in this matter.
