HC Deb 02 December 1942 vol 385 c1172W
Dr Little

asked the Minister of Production whether, in view of the fact that Northern Ireland is capable of greater war production, he will take steps to have additional factories erected and more contracts for work placed in that part of the United Kingdom?

Mr. Garro Jones

The Minister of Commerce and Production for Northern Ireland is in close contact with my right hon. Friend and his colleagues in the Supply Ministries. Steps have been taken to ensure that the available labour and other resources in Northern Ireland are more fully used. Certain of the projects contemplated involve the erection of new buildings.
