HC Deb 01 December 1942 vol 385 c1039W
Mr. Thorne

asked the Minister of Supply whether he can give any information concerning the invention of Mr. W. F. Halsey, of 147, Sutton Court Road, Plaistow; and whether any results came out of the interview with Mr. Halsey on Monday 23rd November.

Mr. Peat

Mr. Halsey has been interviewed and has provided full details of his invention, which were investigated by technical officers of the Ministry. He has been informed that his invention does not appear to provide a solution to the problems it was designed to meet, but that if samples of his invention were available, they would be given a trial. On 23rd November, Mr. Halsey called for the documents he had left and not for interview.
