HC Deb 06 August 1942 vol 382 cc1222-3W
Sir F. Fremantle

asked the Postmaster-General what steps have been taken to enable medical practitioners to obtain release of their apparatus and resume treatment by ultra-violet and deep-ray therapy, as urged on him a year ago by a deputation from the Parliamentary Medical Committee and the British Medical Association?

Mr. Grimston

Under a Home Office Order issued last week, these medical practitioners are now free to apply to the Post Office for a permit to use the apparatus in question. Permits will normally be granted subject to the provi- sion of screening to an approved specification in order to avoid electrical interference with essential communications. The Press notice issued by the Home Office gives full information.
