§ Mr. WestwoodMy right hon. Friend is advised that local authorities take into account any changes in -the cost of living in fixing the amount of public assistance to be granted, and that in general they have already adjusted their' allowances to meet the increased cost. Any person, however, who is dissatisfied with the amount of assistance afforded to him has a right of appeal to the Department of Health for Scotland.
