HC Deb 05 August 1942 vol 382 c1045W
Mr. Parker

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he is aware of the difficulties of driving motor-lorries and motor-omnibuses in the blackout; and whether he can advise local authorities responsible for maintaining well-used roads to fix white lines in their centres, to be studded at regular intervals with cat's eyes?

Mr. Noel-Bakers

Aids to movement in the blackout, including those referred to by my hon. Friend, are used to the maximum extent permitted by the available supplies of the materials from which they are made.
