§ The Attorney-GeneralFrom the year 1940 to date 133 persons were prosecuted and 120 convicted under the Defence (Finance) Regulations, 1939. I am unable to give statistics in reply to the second part of the Question as a number of offences dealt with by different Departments might involve profiteering. If the hon. Member has any particular class of offence in mind the Department would no doubt give him any available information.
