§ Mr. Silkinasked the Paymaster-General when he will make a statement on the activities of his Department?
§ Sir W. JowittI do not think that I can usefully add very much at present to the statement, made by my right hon. Friend the Deputy Prime Minister, in reply to the hon. Member for Everton (Mr. Kirby) on 16th July. As my hon. Friend will appreciate from that answer, my duties are essentially of a co-ordinating character and it falls to the Departmental Ministers severally responsible to announce their plans for dealing with their particular reconstruction problems.
