HC Deb 04 August 1942 vol 382 cc863-4W
Mr. S. O. Davies

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the importance of social security for their wives and families in the maintenance of the morale of the men in the Armed Forces; and whether he is taking all possible steps to see that men are freed from anxiety in this respect?

Sir J. Grigg

I am well aware of the importance from the point of view of Army morale that the soldier should be as free as possible from anxiety about the position of his family and this matter is one to which unceasing attention is given.
