§ Mr. Boothbyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is satisfied that the local authorities are taking adequate steps to provide milk for schoolchildren?
Mr. JohnstonEducation authorities have recently made considerable progress in developing the supply of milk to schoolchildren, but I am not satisfied that further progress cannot be made. My officers and those of the Milk Marketing Board are working with the education authorities to remove the difficulties of supply and distribution which arise in present circumstances, especially in the more sparsely populated areas of the country.
