§ Sir R. Gowerasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether string-covered gloves for mine-sweeper crews are still desired; and whether he will make a statement on the subject for the information of those who have hitherto been making them?
Mr. AlexanderIn the early days of the war supply of these gloves was much appreciated, but the need for them is now dying out. Leather gloves are now provided for mine-sweeper crews, as these are more suitable.
