HC Deb 09 September 1941 vol 374 cc52-3W
Sir C. Rawson

asked the Minister of Information why a pacifist publication, published by the America First Committee under the auspices of Lindbergh and his friends, was passed by the censor, examiner 4124, for circulation in this country; and will these things be stopped in future?

Mr. Thurtle

There is no general prohibition on the import of publications of a pacifist character. Individual intercepts of this kind are dealt with on their merits, and unless the competent authorities consider that a particular pamphlet contains anything to which exception can be taken, it is released. No departure from this policy is contemplated.
