Morganasked the Minister of Health whether he will consider introducing legislation to enlarge the obligation of local authorities to admit the Press to committees when such committees consist of the whole number of members of the authority; and whether he is aware of the need of such action to stimulate high quality in local administration?
§ Mr. E. BrownI do not think that in general the standard of local administration is adversely affected by the existing provisions and I do not contemplate the introduction of amending legislation on the lines suggested.
