HC Deb 09 September 1941 vol 374 c49W
Sir R. Gower

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food the reasons why, after allocating recently imported lemons to the fresh fruit markets, the Ministry altered its decision at the eleventh hour and diverted the fruit direct to marmalade and soft drink manufacturers, thus by-passing the normal trade channels?
