§ Mr. Harold MacmillanThe Raw Material Controls are equipped with staff competent to deal with all day to day technical questions which arise in their work, and on questions involving scientific research and development they have full access to my Noble Friend's Advisory Council on Research and Development. Under existing arrangements, the advice of any other scientist and consultant in the country can be obtained at once, as and when required. The Ministry of Supply is also in close contact with the Scientific Advisory Committee presided over by my Noble Friend the Paymaster-General.
