HC Deb 21 October 1941 vol 374 cc1644-5W
Mr. Stephen

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that some retail distributors of milk are under the impression that the Ministry's instructions are that they should supply only tinned milk to people with emergency cards; and will he take steps to remove such misunderstanding of the Ministry's instructions?

Major Lloyd George

Retail distributors have already received instructions from Food Offices which indicate clearly that liquid milk may be sold to holders of temporary or special ration documents. They have received no instructions to supply only tinned milk in such cases.
