§ Sir K. Wood,pursuant to his reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 2nd October, 1941; col. 740, Vol. 374] supplied the following statement:
The following table gives the amount invested per head of population in National Savings Certificates, 3 per cent. Defence Bonds or deposited in Savings Banks for each of the National Savings Regions of England and Wales. The figures are compiled from the Returns received by the National Savings Committee and relate to Urban Areas only.
