Maitlandasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the members of the Association of Municipal Corporations are disappointed by the reply he gave to the deputation, which he and the Minister of Health received on 22nd July, on the question of meeting the loss of rate revenue suffered by local authorities arising out of war conditions; and whether, in view of the dissatisfaction his reply has caused, he is prepared to reconsider his decision?
