§ Mr. EdenThe method of recruitment is only a part of the reform of the Foreign Service of which I announced the broad outline to the House on nth June. My hon. Friend will realise that the detailed application of these reforms requires considerable elaboration, and I am not yet in a position to make a further statement. There can, of course, be no new entry until after the war.
