§ Mr. Wilsonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he has any information regarding the prewar Danish method for dealing with eggs; when it may be made available; and did the Danish method involve the marking of all eggs with the farmer's name and date when eggs left the farm?
Major Lloyd GeorgeInformation about the Danish system of egg marketing was published in the reports of the World Poultry Congresses which were held from time to time before the war. The system provided for the sale of eggs to packing stations, some of which required the supplying farmers to mark their eggs, but it is understood that the practice was not general.
