§ Mr. AmeryI am not aware that the Moslem League boycott of the Legislative Assembly was intended to extend beyond the recent session of the Assembly. I gather from the summary I have seen of Mr. Jinnah's speech that the action was claimed to be a protest against non-acceptance by the Government, in the recent expansion of the Executive Council and constitution of a Defence Council, of the League's earlier offer of co-operation in the war effort which was made subject to conditions with which it was not possible to comply.
